What is the ACT exam?
The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized achievement test for College and University admissions in the United States produced by ACT, Inc. It is widely accepted for Bachelors admissions just as the SAT exam.
The total score of the ACT exam is 36 with subscores ranging from 1-18. The total test duration 3 hours 40 min (English–45 minutes, Mathematics–60 minutes, Reading–35 minutes, Science–35 minutes, Optional Writing–30 minutes). The test is conducted 5 times a year in the month of September, October, December, April and June respectively.
Score Reporting and Costing
Scores received after 5 weeks of the test date and can be reported to Universities till the coming Thursday after the test date. Free score reporting can be done for up to 4 Universities at the time of Exam registration and up to 9 days after the test. Additional score reporting takes $13 per report. The ACT – Test fee with no Writing Option is $103.5 while for the Plus Writing – Test fee is $120.
