Many talks are spiralling around India’s performance at the QS World University Rankings for 2020. It is a matter of pride that 23 Indian universities have registered their spots in the ranking of top 1000 universities globally. While most of the Indian universities on the list are government funded, there are 5 universities that are privately funded.
Top Indian Universities on the List?
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay topped the list by ranking 152, followed by IIT Delhi at 182 and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore at 184. The University of Delhi secured the 474 spot amongst other government-funded universities. When it comes to the Private universities then Manipal Academy of Higher Education falls in the 701-750 ranking band, which is highest for Indian Private Universities, followed closely behind by the new entrant O.P. Jindal Global University at 751-800 band. The university is just a decade old, and that makes it the “youngest university” to enter the spotlight, explains the administration of the university.
